Ice and snow are on most people’s minds right now with the arctic blasts that have been hitting the area. But, for as much trouble that these two elements give us, we still regard them as beautiful.
Maybe we like the ice and snow because they create a change to the scenery for us to look at outside, or maybe it’s because the white and icy blue colors of these element have a calming effect on us. If you like the ice and snow because of their colors, you probably would love those same colors on your home; then you could enjoy them all year long.
Snow White Windows and Doors
Just like snow, white is the color of innocence and purity. White is a color that refreshes us emotionally, make us feel free of negative thoughts, helps us to relax, and makes us feel strong inside.
However, too much white can feel overwhelming and can make you feel isolated. So if you choose white for your windows and doors, make sure to pair it with another color on your house for balance.
Icy Blue Windows and Doors
Icy blue is a color of uniqueness and creativity. Icy blue also calms us and helps us to release any stress that may be blocking the creative thinking process.
Just like with white though, icy blue is a color that is better when it is used in small doses. Not because it is overwhelming when there is too much, but because icy blue is boring when there is a lot of it. For the best use of icy blue on the outside of your home, use it only on windows and doors as a trim.
Window and Door Colors Available
Now, we don’t have any doors that come in an icy blue, but we do have the following colors that may work for you instead:
Snow Mist – very close to icy blue, just more white than blue so it is closer to the color of snow
Geneva Blue – a very nice calm blue, but not quite as pale as icy blue
Enzian Blue – not anywhere close to icy blue as it is a darker blue, but is still a gorgeous color and worth taking a look at
We also don’t have any icy blue windows, but we do have white. You could purchase white windows and doors, and then paint them the icy blue shade you want.
