Bunnies, eggs, and chocolate are everywhere this time of year. Unfortunately, if you try to display the real version of any of these in your window as Easter decorations it doesn’t work out very well. Bunnies run away, eggs don’t do well outside of the fridge, and chocolate melts. For decorations that last, stick with the fake and get creative.Chocolate BunniesThe easiest way to get chocolate bunnies in your window for Easter is to cut them out of construction paper. You can use light brown construction paper for milk chocolate bunnies and dark brown for dark chocolate bunnies. There are plenty of templates online that will help you get the perfect chocolate bunny shape also, so you don’t have to worry about trying to cut them out freehand.Once the bunnies are cut out, you can leave them plain or have a bit of fun with them. If you prefer to have a more subtle window display, keep the bunnies plain. But if you don’t care, you can add a googly eye (or eyes) to your bunny, as well as accessories (like a bowtie and buttons).A Place for Your Chocolate Bunny to RoamIf you want to add more to your windowthan just your chocolate bunny it is really easy to add a whole Easter scene. To make this scene you are going to use colored cellophane. Cellophane is easily found in the store this time of year because it is used to wrap up Easter baskets.Take a 2 inch strip of green cellophane and make cuts in it that are about 1 ½ inch into the strip. You don’t want the cuts to go all the way through as you want the strip to remain whole, but the cuts need to be deep enough so that it looks like a strip of green grass. Once you are done place the strip in your window at the same level of your bunny, so that it looks like it is standing in the grass.Next use yellow cellophane for the sun, blue cellophane for clouds, and different colors for Easter eggs.Once everything is up you will have a whole Easter scene around your chocolate bunny that will sparkle like a stained glass window.
