That way you are not stuck with what other people want you to buy; you get to create your fall décor the way you want it to look.Pumpkins and Leaves in Your Fall Window To create this rustic looking fall window garland, you will need:

• Brown twine
• Mini pumpkins
• Fall leaves

To make the garland, all you have to do is tie the twine around the stem of the pumpkins and the leaves. Once you are done, you will have a string of pumpkins and leaves for a fall window garland. You can put the pumpkins and leaves in whatever order you want with how ever many you want of each.With this fall window garland, you have the option of going with fake pumpkins and leaves, or real ones. Each has their own pros and cons to think about as you make your decision.The fake pumpkins and leaves don’t look as real, but they are lighter and last longer. Being lighter makes it easier for you to hang them up. Because they last longer, you can use them year after year.Real pumpkins and leaves, on the other hand, look better and have the unique smell of fall to them. Unfortunately, they are alive and will breakdown and decay. This decay is accelerated by the warmer air in your home, and you may not be able to keep the garland up from September through the end of November, like the fake one.Fall Window Garland of LeavesWhat you will need:

• Fall leaves
• Needle
• Thread

To start, thread the needle and carefully string each leaf on the thread; the same way you string popcorn at Christmas time. Make sure there is plenty of space in between each leaf, so you can tell that it is a leaf. If you are concerned about the leaves shifting around, tie a knot in the strong on either side.You can use real fall leaves for this project, but they don’t hold up as well as the fake ones. So, seriously consider using fake ones instead, you will probably be happier with the results.Once you have created a string to the length you desire, tie off the end and loosely drape your new fall window garland from your curtain rod.
