St. Patrick’s Day Glass Windows

If you want to keep your St. Patrick’s Day Decorations elegant and simple think outside of the box and go with just the colors of the holiday. By going with just the colors, you will get the same holiday look, but in a more elegant and grown up way.Break Out the Christmas OrnamentsJust like with Valentine’s Day, you can use Christmas decorations to decorate for St. Patrick’s Day also. Instead of breaking out the reds and delicate ornaments that you used for Valentine’s Day though, you are going to use the greens and whites.You can use:

• Green and white Christmas balls
• Green or white beaded garland
• Any decorative glass that is a neutral theme

Once you select the ornaments that you are going to use, hang them in your windows with green ribbon. White ribbon will work also, but stay away from any other color as it will distract from the focus on the green in your window.After you round up the ornaments and get the ribbon attached, hang them in your windows. You can hang them in a pattern, at different heights, or just in a row.If you have also found green beaded garland in your Christmas decorations to use for St. Patrick’s Day, hang it so it gently drapes in between the handing ornaments.St. Patrick’s Day GlassAnother easy way to decorate a window for St. Patrick’s Day without getting campy is to display green and clear glassware. Luckily, green glassware is pretty easy to find, and when matched with small pieces of clear glass you get a nice St. Patrick’s Day look.To display, incorporate the green glassware in with the current collection of items that you are already displaying in the window just by swapping them with other the pieces of glass already there. Or you can use the colored glass as stands to hold or display your current window treasures.Another idea is to remove everything you currently have in your window and replace it with a display of flowers and shamrocks in with the colored glass. White and green carnations, white roses, and white daisies also look great with the green glass.With this type of display you can also keep it well up well past St. Patrick’s Day.
