We always look for options that will help us save energy when we replace our old windows. With options from Renewal by Andersen® of Kentucky, you don’t have to look too far. Through continuous innovations, we have created windows in Lexington, KY, with energy-efficient materials.

Windows Save Energy

Insulating Frames

We use Fibrex® composite frames for our windows. This durable material has excellent insulating features on par with wood. It also insulates 700 times better than aluminum. Fibrex also stays intact when exposed to fluctuating temperatures, so it will not expand or contract no matter the season.

Glass Technologies

We use different technologies to make our windows more energy-efficient. With double glazing, we optimize the space between the two panes for best thermal performance. We also use low-conductivity spacers that resist heat transfer. Lastly, we put an argon gas blend between the panes for better insulation.

For the seals around our picture windows, and other designs, we use compressed butyl and specially formed silicone. The sealing process improves the life span of our windows because it prevents moisture from leaking.

Glass Packages

You can choose from three glass packages that offer different benefits in terms of heating, cooling, visible light transfer, and UV protection. Our High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass is our basic offering for windows. It offers 56% efficiency during summer and 45% efficiency during winter. It can also block up to 83% of UV rays, preventing furniture from fading.

Our High-Performance Low-E4 SmartSun™ glass, on the other hand, is our most energy-saving package available. Picture, casement, double-hung, bay, bow, specialty, and sliding windows with this glass have exceptional performance in hot climates. It also has a high rating in cool weather and can block up to 95% of UV rays.

If you need windows that reduce visible light or glare, we recommend our High-Performance Low-E4 Sun glass. This has a tint coating that keeps unwanted heat away during warm months.

For windows that save energy and money, you can rely on options from Renewal by Andersen of Kentucky. We are the leading source for beautiful, durable, and efficient windows on the market. We back them with strong warranties that cover glass, framing material, non-glass components, and installation.
