Window Styles Perfect for the Bathroom

The bathroom tends to be one of the more cramped spaces in the home, and it’s also one of the most moisture-prone areas. This can make it difficult to choose an ideal window style for the bathroom. In today’s post Renewal by Andersen® of Kentucky discusses window styles to consider for a bathroom window installation.

Window Styles Perfect for the Bathroom

Small Circular Windows

One popular style is the ubiquitous circular window. It addresses two points in your bath space: privacy and lighting. Since bathrooms are usually small, a small circular window is enough to admit ample lighting into the room while also protecting your privacy. We can replace your existing circular window with a fixed a fixed picture window or a small casement window.

Casement Windows

Speaking of which, casement windows are excellent for bathrooms despite being a non-standard style for this area. Casement windows feature tall window glass panes, allowing abundant natural light into the bathroom. These windows are hinged at the side and open out, which helps with ventilation—an important consideration in moisture-prone areas like the bathroom.

Double Hung Windows

Double hung windows are another good choice for your bathrooms. Like casement windows, double hung windows add generous lighting to any room along with excellent ventilation. While casement windows swing open, the double hung design operates using a sash that moves up and down. This gives you full control of your bathroom ventilation.

Our double hung windows are built with Fibrex® frames, a composite material that combines the strength of wood with the low maintenance nature of vinyl. This gives it a longer lifespan than other frame materials, as well as better energy efficiency and less need for upkeep.
